My Students

4th grade students are eager, excited, kind, curious, & fun.

School is extremely important to them & are thriving to impress their teachers, parents, & peers.

They are also excited about life! Who knew that getting their second home run in kickball in Gym class would make their entire month?! 4th graders are also curious. Never does the word "why" get old in our classroom. They are always eager to learn! Being a 4th grade teacher brings so much fun & excitement!

My Project

Creating a sense of community in my classroom is crucial. I want students walking into my classroom feeling safe, loved, & eager to participate.

Every child has a different story at home.

Some may not have parents who are there at night to make them supper & tuck them into bed. I want my classroom to be their "happy place". I want them to be able to share whatever is on their mind and feel they are being listened to.

This gathering space will help us create a sense of "family" and "community". Instead of students sitting at their desks, this will let us gather together and feel comfortable while sharing & learning.
