Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m excited to bring an ocean adventure into our school through hands-on literacy, science, and art projects all about ocean animals! My students will dive into engaging nonfiction books to learn about marine life while building skills and curiosity about the world beneath the waves.

As they explore, students will bring their ideas to life using fun and creative materials like bright markers, oil pastels, foam stickers, colorful clay, books, iridescent paper, holographic stickers, and googly eyes.

These supplies will support a variety of art and literacy activities, allowing students to design colorful ocean creatures, write about their discoveries, and express their learning in imaginative ways. Our project will end with a splash with an exciting ocean-themed exhibit featuring a student-created aquarium display! With glowing lights, ocean-themed backdrops, and vibrant student artwork, our classroom will transform into an underwater world. This special showcase will give students a chance to celebrate their hard work and share their creativity with pride.
