My Project

Kindergarten is a wondrous time in a child's life. The list of state standards the students learn is extensive. While students come to school from a variety of homestyle, they all come searching for one thing.....LOVE. At the end of this school year I want my students to have learned the state standards, but above that, I want my students to have learned how special and wonderful he/she is.

Through this project I will be able to transform my classroom into a warm inviting place where students know they are cared and loved for.

Students come to class from many different situations each day. They come to us from good and bad situations. By using the items in this project, my students will be able to leave all worries at the door so they are better able to have a calm attitude and in turn be able to master and retain state standards.

The lanterns and triangle banner will be hung from the ceiling to promote a calm atmosphere in the entire classroom. The tree, nightlight, and lamp will serve as an extra source of soft lighting for the students. The peel and stick covering will be used to cover bookcases and shelving in the classroom. The affirmation station set will be placed around a mirror in the classroom to serve as a reminder for the students as to how wonderful they are. The calendar will help us have morning meeting to start our day off right. There are also motivational prints and artwork to help cre
