This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students, including those with sensory processing needs. We are seeking funding to acquire a new upgraded kids' sensory swivel chair, specifically designed to support children with autism and sensory sensitivities. This chair will serve as a valuable tool in creating a calming and supportive space where students can regulate their sensory experiences and focus on their learning with comfort and ease.

As a teacher I aspire to :

Provide students with sensory processing challenges a designated space where they can feel safe and supported.

Enhance the overall sensory environment in our classroom to promote a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Support students in developing self-regulation skills and promoting emotional well-being.

Create a sensory-friendly setting that fosters engagement and participation in classroom activities.

The addition of a sensory swivel chair in our classroom will not only benefit students with sensory sensitivities but will also contribute to a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for all learners. By providing a dedicated sensory oasis, we aim to create a space where every student feels valued, respected, and able to engage fully in their educational journey.

We believe that investing in sensory-friendly resources like the swivel chair will positively impact the well-being and academic success of our students. Your support for this project will help us create a space where every child can thrive, learn, and grow in a comfortable and accommodating setting.
