My Project

Every student deserves to walk into a classroom that feels welcoming, organized, and full of possibility. As an 8th grade English Language Arts teacher, I want to create a classroom that feels less like a traditional school setting and more like a comfortable space where students can relax, collaborate, and build confidence as readers and thinkers.

This project will transform our classroom into a welcoming environment by providing flexible seating with bean bag chairs, a composition notebook rug for collaborative learning, and a floor lamp that creates a warm, calming atmosphere.

These elements will encourage students to gather for discussions, work together, and feel comfortable taking academic risks.

An organized classroom allows students to focus on learning instead of distractions. Storage baskets will keep classroom materials neat and accessible, while decorative bulletin board borders and durable black fabric will create polished displays that can withstand the entire school year better than traditional bulletin board paper. Everyday essentials like classroom pencils, facial tissues, and disinfecting wipes will ensure students have the tools they need while helping maintain a clean, healthy learning environment.

Every item in this project has been intentionally selected to support both student learning and classroom community. When students enter a space that is organized, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, they are more likely to participate, collaborate, build confidence, and develop a love for learning.
