Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Markers and colored pencils are some of the most basic school supplies, but many of my students don’t have the means to bring those supplies at the beginning of the school year. This leaves them having to borrow broken crayons and almost dried up markers from the few supplies that I am able to have in reserve. Students deserve to have their own set of markers and colored pencils, with plenty of back up just in case. These markers and colored pencils would give all of my students equal access to these staples of an elementary classroom.

In addition, the cardstock paper would allow for my students to create different projects or allow me to print more long lasting items like decodable readers.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
