One little friend looked at the example pictures provided with one set of manipulatives, picked out what he wanted to make, then spent days planning & building. We also are able to have special music guests teach a lesson since we now have enough musical instruments for each student. My students' faces light up every time I bring out the new instruments! They saw the various games that they may have seen outside of school and wondered how we were going to use them. During our small group instruction, students have been more successful with adding groups of objects, thinking about number sequences, and understanding their numbers and letters in a more engaging way. Oftentimes, it seems as the kids don't realize they are learning while playing these games. By me tweaking one small thing (adding my own dice) we can still play board games, but adapt it to where they are. We cannot thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to think about math and reading in a different way through games.","fullyFundedDate":1727462964915,"projectUrl":"project/learning-through-games/8571974/","projectTitle":"Learning Through Games!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vinton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2992813_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1692917474978","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2992813"},{"teacherId":9220155,"projectId":8576204,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my classroom.
