Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For this project, I am requesting various craft supplies for our community service projects. Last year, I created a Craft Club to help students use art as a creative outlet. By far, the biggest hit has been using the Cricut machine to create pencil pouches, cards, and tote bags. Students love being able to personalize their creations. To help the Craft Club continue to be successful, we need supplies such as beads for friendship bracelets and items like tote bags and tumblers that can be designed with vinyl. Students will use the supplies for our community service outreach, supporting kids in lower Manhattan.

Arts and crafts have helped my students find purpose and relieve stress while giving back to their community.
