My Project

In the heart of a Title 1 school nestled in a small, low-income community the majority of our resilient students carry with them a giving spirit. As we approach the new year, we are embarking on a heartwarming initiative to send kind words and encouragement to nursing home patients. Our project, "Crafting Connections with our Community," aims to provide each student with a gift giving opportunities that transcends the hardships of their daily lives, fosters creativity, and provides a joyful experience for the maker and reciever.

In a community where resources are scarce, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the magic of giving.

By gifting the students items like art kits, bracelet kits, Uno, a Fujifilm Instax camera, and card making supplies we hope to ignite a spark of imagination and create a space for self-expression and connection. These carefully selected items are not just playthings; they are tools that empower our students to explore their creativity, strengthen social bonds, and build lasting memories for the new year. We strive to affirm the inherent value of each student, and providing them with the opportunity to connect with other community members who are in need of joy and connections themselves. Our crafted creations will be donated to the local nursing home.
