My Students

My students love creating art projects that are based in unit themes.

I teach a combo class of active 1st and 2nd graders who are creative students and love making things.

Stories come alive when I can integrate the arts into my students' curriculum. My students believe that the learning process should be fun. What is more fun than creating an art project!

My Project

As a teacher, gathering materials that help you lesson plan is essential. We never have enough time to cut paper and plan out activities especially if we need costly crafts. Having a craft kit at my disposal will help me plan more activities that my students enjoy.

Art is a way for students to connect with literacy and learning.

Art is one of the few disciplines in educations that provides freedom of expression and creativity. My students know that when we do art, "mistakes are welcomed."
