My Project

Kindergarten is a time for students to learn and develop social skills, be a part of a classroom community and learn together. In our classroom, we promote the socio-emotional well being of our students by having conversations and listening to one another's ideas. A carpet space will allow for our students to comfortably sit and practice their listening and speaking skills. It also gives them the opportunity to come together as a class community during our morning meetings, learning time and play times.

Our carpet space will allow for us to establish a classroom community.

By providing a flexible seating option for all students to meet, we will be able to practice our listening and speaking skills.

This project will also allow for us to learn and grow by giving us an extra space to practice hands on activities - for example, play, presenting and utilizing manipulatives.
