COVID-19 Preparedness Kits First Aid- Essentials for Each Classroom
Help me give my students the first aid- essentials that they need to stay in their classrooms rather than risking possible exposure by coming to my nurse's office.
Our motto is to come to school-On Time and Ready to Shine! Here at our school, students walk into their classrooms every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. They have smiles that will light up your life!
Despite so many hardships that they have endured in their short lives, our students are eager to learn and do their best.
They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they will one day be successful.
We do not yet know how our school year will look. As the school nurse and the district co-compliance liaison, I am compelled to be prepared.
In a normal school year, our district heavily relies on the good grace of the community to provide basic essentials. This year will be the most challenging one to date. The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted us all. My job as their school nurse, is to do all I can to maintain their physical, as well as mental health. My hopes are to provide personal health necessities that are easily accessible with less possibility of exposure by coming to my office.
My Project
This year will be different from any other due to COVID-19! Classrooms must remain together as "cohorts" to avoid unnecessary exposures. Unless it is deemed an emergency, or a required daily medication disbursement, I, unfortunately, will not be able to have students in my office for the "little" things they are so used to coming to see me for.
I would like to supply mini "First Aid- essentials" kits for the staff to have as a resource in their classrooms to minimize exposure risks.
I purchased pencil boxes for all of my teachers' classrooms to which I would like to be able to stock with the supplies listed here such as band-aids, cleansing wipes, gauze, gloves, lotion, lip balm, lost tooth necklaces, etc..
