I teach in an early childhood preschool classroom.
In our room, we are a melting pot, including seven different languages and many cultures.
Over 90% of my students are ELL (English language learner) students with several speaking no English at all.
Despite these obstacles, these students are eager to learn and do their best. My students walk into the classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
My Project
My class is in need of new math counters and pattern blocks. I like to keep my students engaged and on topic by using different counters for each theme! You’d be surprised how excited students get when they see insect counters instead of bear counters.
My goal is to make learning fun so students don’t know they’re learning!
We play games, make AB patterns, and touch count.
With our pattern blocks we learn about shapes and how they can be placed together to make different shapes. We can’t wait to use our new math counters and pattern blocks to finish our year strong and be Kindergarten ready!
