We currently have no hands-on technology in our classroom. Having an iPad in the classroom would give our students the opportunity to explore technology in a safe environment. The iPad would be used around the classroom in different centers, encouraging children to expand their knowledge in several different aspects: reearching buildings around the world to build in block area, examining types of bugs in a rain forest while in science center, investigating about other cultures while in dramatic play, all while encouraging language and communication with one another. And let's not forget about letter recognition, fine motor skills, and basic math!
