Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal for this project is for these sensory tools such as the crash pad, mirrors, vibrating neck pillow, and sensory reflective disc/ball to support students’ learning, emotional regulation, and overall development.

These sensory supports will provide a difference in their learning, because it will provide therapeutic input that will help my students regulate their nervous systems so they are better able to engage in academic instruction and social interactions.

By having these tools in class, I will be able to proactively meet students’ sensory needs by creating a learning environment where students feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
