Each item has already made a meaningful impact in our daily routines. One of our favorite moments was during a social-emotional lesson using the emotion puzzle. Students worked together to identify and match different feelings, and it led to great discussions (and gestures!) about how they feel throughout the day. It was wonderful to see them making those connections in such a hands-on way.\r\n\r\nThe laminator and glue sticks have also been game changers for preparing durable, reusable materials. We've been creating customized activities, including math matching puzzles that students can use again and again. During a recent math center, students practiced number recognition and matching with increased independence and confidence. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their reactions were full of excitement and curiosity. They were eager to explore everything right away, and the sensory pod especially sparked a lot of interest. Even students who are typically more reserved were drawn in and ready to participate.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to continue integrating these materials into structured lessons and independent work. Students will keep building their skills in identifying emotions, strengthening early math concepts, and increasing their ability to work independently and communicate their needs. My students were so excited to have the packages arriving to our classroom. \r\n\r\nLast Friday we were able to make pancakes using our new griddle! A lot of my students have food aversions, so being able to get them to try new foods can be a challenge but I won't ever give up on them! Next, I plan to have the students vote on what they want to try cooking. There are so many lessons with this including math, voting, cooking and trying new things.\r\n\r\nWe have already started using the construction paper for art projects as well!
