Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my students are autistic and have tantrums when they can't communicate or get what they want. This cool-down area will help them to have a safe and calming area where they can go when they are upset.

Some of my students love looking at themselves in the mirror.

They looked at themselves and laugh and smile. The mirror will help in this area create a positive feeling to help them calm down.

The pillows have sequins that can change color. My students will love feeling them and making them change color. A comfy mat to sit on will help them to control their bodies.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
