This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are amazing! They want to work hard and strive to succeed and participate every day! I have done my best to create fun, exciting, interactive lessons to keep them engaged as often as possible.

I am requesting a couple of rolls of paper and bubble gum to teach them how to properly convert measurement units.

Some students will be given bubble tape and will measure several objects around the room using the bubble tape as a ruler They will then convert measurements such as feet to inches and vice versa. Others will use the Big League Chew to measure various objects after deciding how long each strand measures on average.

Lessons like this are not only interactive but appeal to the students being that they can eat the gum they use once they are done with it. Please help me in making Mathematics FUN again!
