Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we continue building a positive, productive, and welcoming learning environment for our 8th grade students, I am reaching out with a small classroom wish list. These items may seem simple, but they make a meaningful difference in helping students stay comfortable, focused, and motivated throughout the school day.

Air Wick essential oils scented oil warmer refills — A fresh and calming classroom atmosphere can help students feel more relaxed, focused, and comfortable during long school days.

Pleasant scents also help create a welcoming environment where students enjoy learning.

Starburst candy — Small treats are often used as positive incentives, rewards for participation, classroom competitions, and encouragement during testing or challenging assignments. These little motivators help build student engagement and classroom morale.

Lotion — Many students experience dry skin throughout the year, especially during colder months or after frequent hand washing. Having lotion available helps students stay comfortable and focused during class.

Lens wipes — Students frequently use glasses, Chromebooks, tablets, and phone screens for educational activities. Lens wipes help keep devices and glasses clean so students can work comfortably and effectively.

Fidget toys — Fidget tools can be incredibly helpful for students who benefit from hands-on sensory support. They assist many students with focus, stress management, self-regulation, and maintaining attention during instruction and independent work time.
