My Project

Hello! I teach 6th grade History and ELA at a charter school. 6th grade history is all about the ancient world - and as we move through each culture discussing the religion and mythology within each of those is a must. As we enter Ancient Greece in the coming month, they are becoming increasingly excited to discuss and read about how the mythos fits into the bigger picture.

The Percy Jackson series is a great way for my students to access the content in a way that is both fun and engaging - and contributing will help my students expand their creativity and love of history.

With the new show also coming out around this time, I am finding more and more of my students are wanting to dive into the books on their own.

My goal is to provide my students with access to this wonderful series, and use the books as a way of connecting the ancient mythology to a book series that has them engaged in reading and learning. I would be greatly appreciative for anything that you could contribute to get these books into the hands of my students... Thank you!
