Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, energetic, and full of questions about the world around them, but many need strong support with reading and making sense of real-world information. Scholastic News will give them access to engaging, current nonfiction texts written at their level, helping them build confidence while strengthening reading, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills.

With both print and digital access, my students will interact with articles, videos, and activities that connect directly to science and social studies topics we are learning in class.

The built-in differentiation tools will help me meet each student where they are, especially my bilingual learners who benefit from visuals, audio, and repeated exposure to content.

My goal is to improve comprehension, increase engagement with nonfiction text, and prepare students for STAAR-style questions using real-world topics. I want my students to see reading as something meaningful, not just something they do for a test.

What makes my students special is their resilience and eagerness to learn, even when the material feels challenging. With the right resources, they rise to the occasion every time.
