My Project

My school graciously received 10 iPads, from DonorsChoose supporters, to be used as communication devices for our learners who have limited language and are nonverbal. Now that we have the iPads, we are in need of communication apps to make them functional communication systems.

We have seven Early Childhood Special Education classrooms and on average 1-2 students require high tech augmentative and alternative communication in each room.

These devices are often expensive and difficult to get. We want to be able to provide these devices with the app for our children and families to use while in our care and at home.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
