My Students

My fifth grade students are an inquisitive group of children from diverse backgrounds and cultures. They are always excited to learn and grow, while still having fun. These children come from low-income households, which means they do not always have access to materials to extend their education.

My students are always willing to learn and jump at the chance to do something new and fun.

I want my students to be successful and enjoy their schooling. With their willingness, I would love to provide them with a fun learning experience that involves reading!

My Project

My students typically spend about 8 hours learning in uncomfortable chairs. I have the opportunity to try to get flexible seating for my classroom. This will not only help students feel more comfortable but also enhance their engagement throughout the day.

Students need to be able to let our their energy and they don't often get that outlet.

Providing options for them to sit comfortably, while also letting energy out, will help students stay more focused. This project will help me get started in providing flexible seating for students this year and years to come.
