Comfortable Chapters: A Chair-ity Project for a Cozier Library

My Project

While we do have some comfortable furniture for students to enjoy during their visits, there is currently only room for 12 students! We would love to increase that to 16 spots, which would allow at least half of class to sit somewhere other than a table!

Our hopes with these new cozy chairs is to incentivize readers to sit a little longer for a few more pages of reading each time they visit!

Comfortable chairs in a library contribute significantly to creating an environment that supports extended reading, concentration, relaxation, and positive learning experiences for students. We hope that they will allow students to feel more comfortable and promote better discussion during literary circles and group project discussions!
