Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I lived in South America and it was never this hot and humid. When students are trying to learn a new language they should be comfortable. My current classroom is a south-facing building with a wall of windows that creates a sort of solar oven effect. The current AC cannot keep up with the heat and adding bodies to the mix makes it that much hotter.

My goal is to provide a classroom where students can feel comfortable focusing on learning and not worry about sweating through their clothes.

It can be uncomfortable and embarrassing when it is too hot to concentrate and you sweat in your classroom. Even when the outside temp is only 75 degrees, the room gets to 85 degrees. Please provide my students with a small bit of comfort.
