My Project

My self-contained K–1 exceptional children classroom is filled with incredible students who learn best when they have opportunities to move, make choices, and feel comfortable. Many of my students have sensory, attention, and communication needs that make traditional classroom seating challenging.

This project will provide flexible seating options, including floor seats, a comfortable classroom carpet, lap desks, and other seating choices that allow students to learn in ways that work best for them.

These resources will create inviting spaces for small-group instruction, independent work, reading, and collaborative learning while helping students stay focused, calm, and engaged.

When students are comfortable, they are more confident. Flexible seating gives them the freedom to choose a learning space that supports their individual needs, encourages independence, and reduces distractions. Instead of struggling to stay seated in one position all day, students can direct their energy toward learning, building relationships, and celebrating their successes.

Your support will help create a classroom where every child feels welcomed, valued, and ready to learn. Thank you for helping provide a learning environment that allows every student to grow with confidence.
