By being able to create and display anchor charts throughout the classroom, the students will be working hands-on and in groups with peers. Using easel pads, markers, post-it notes and a pocket chart stand, they will display relevant information in literacy and in math to help facilitate their learning and make the classroom their own. Anchor charts help to keep learning relevant and show students the interconnectedness of subject areas. They get to see that once they really learn something, they can build on it and continue to use it to help further their learning. They help students see the reasons behind why they are learning different things in literacy and math.

About my class
