This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are amazing!
I teach every child in the building and the children are curious, joyful and love to learn.
Our school is located in Illinois. Our school population is 93% African-American, 3% Caucasian, 3% Hispanic and 1% Asian. Over 75% of our students receive free or reduced-priced lunch.
They face a lot of challenges and don't have the same access to opportunities as students in many other schools have but despite this fact, our students are eager to learn and are driven to succeed!
My Project
The diverse students in my classroom are motivated and eager to learn. The materials and supplies that I am requesting are a necessity in today's classroom to help lessons, skills, and concepts come alive. For years, colored printing has been a luxury in schools. However, in education the link between colored materials and comprehension/ engagement is strong.
The students would also be able to make memories throughout the school year by creating projects and displaying them for their peers to see.
A color printer will also allow some of our projects we do throughout the year to be possible. I hope that you consider funding this color printer for our classroom. My students and I will be very appreciative.
