Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Though coming from households with extremely limited resources, our students are amazingly talented and generous. Unfortunately though they attend the largest school in our district, we have the least amount of resources to support 21st century college and career readiness initiatives such as implementing the fast growing world of E-sports. We have the interest, and a wealth of motivation. We just need your help to find the means. Your contribution will make a huge difference in the lives of our students. With this basic equipment like the joy-cons, chargers, games, and SD cards, our students will have the access to opportunities currently limited to communities with the financial means to purchase luxuries like play consoles.

Students will not only learn how to engage and collaborate with their peers but also take advantage of contemporary forms of social and emotional team building.

Your support will help us provide our students with the safe and supportive environment they need to achieve their dreams. As a result, student engagement will increase, thus positively impacting academic achievement and meet students' socio-emotional needs. It may seem like a superfluous request, anyone knowledgeable of the world of gaming and design knows that it is not. This is the new literacy we need to develop to help our students truly be college and career ready.
