My Students

Students in our Smart Lab learn differently. They embrace challenges, question their peers, and are not bound by the expectations of others. They enjoy coding and problem-solving real-world solutions that provide them with opportunities to collaborate, think critically and creatively, and communicate with one another.

Exposing our learners to coding and programming languages at an early age will build mastery in other content areas such as reading, math, and science.

Failure will be part of our process, but they will succeed. They will be challenged by obstacles. Our students are of the mindset, "I just don't get this yet... but I WILL!

My Project

Learners as young as five-years-old will be introduced to coding, illustration, problem-solving, and redesign skills using the award-winning Artie Max drawing robot in our STEAM Lab.

Designed to offer endless creation and play possibilities, Artie Max gives children an intuitive way to explore coding concepts and principles.

Student programmers will code their creations bringing to life anything their curious and creative minds yearn to draw.

Students will grapple and be stretched to program their creations using one of five app-based coding languages. Artie Max is developmentally appropriate for our youngest learners, while still offering our intermediate students challenges by utilizing JavaScript or Python programming languages.

Students' curiosity and creativity will soar, as they uncover new ways to play while learning the invaluable skill of coding. Programming and coding is the language of the future. Exposing young students to different languages strengthens verbal and written skills, as well as how to communicate and think logically. Learners will have access to tutorials to create frame-worthy works of art. However, our learners will be encouraged to use the robot and coding languages to make anything they wish to draw come to life.
