Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Bee-Bot robots provide a hands-on, developmentally appropriate way for early elementary students to build foundational coding skills through play, exploration, and problem-solving. Students use simple directional buttons to program Bee-Bots to move forward, backward, left, and right, which introduces them to the core concepts of sequencing, algorithms, and debugging in a concrete and engaging way.

Bee-Bots also support cross-curricular learning by integrating coding with literacy, math, and science activities.

Students can navigate story maps, solve math problems, or explore content-based grids, making coding meaningful and connected to classroom learning. Additionally, these robots encourage collaboration, communication, and language development as students work together to plan, test, and explain their thinking.
