This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project seeks to enrich my 8th-grade classroom by acquiring essential materials for close reading and simulations. It emphasizes enhancing literacy and comprehension skills through diverse, engaging texts tailored for close reading exercises, which students need a variety of highlighters to complete! Additionally, the project aims to bring history and social studies to life through interactive simulations, such as a Boston Massacre Crime Scene! These activities will foster critical thinking, empathy, and a deeper understanding of historical events and societal issues. I want to prioritize student engagement and active learning, and I aim to create a more dynamic and impactful educational experience for my students.
