This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my band students. They work hard and feel the joy that music brings to their lives. It is especially fun to see them light up when they play well or when we are able to make it through an entire song from start to finish after many rehearsals. They can see their growth every week that goes by.

I am looking to replace the older cleaning swabs for my clarinet section with ones that will do a better job and last longer.

Besides lasting longer, I will be able to wash and clean these swabs so they can be used again and again. The current cleaning swabs that my students use are not washable and need to be thrown away after a couple years use or when a new student starts to play the clarinet.

Keeping student instruments clean prolongs the life of the instruments as well as cutting down on repair costs down the road. My students take great care of their instruments and these new cleaning swabs will work much better and last a longer time.
