Clean Air for a COVID-Free Classroom

Help me give my students a safer environment to learn in. HEPA air filters have been shown to greatly reduce the amount of particulates in the air, including virus and bacteria particles.

My Students

My students are truly amazing. They are members of a pre-k class for students with autism in Las Vegas. They range in age from 3-5 years old and they are excited learners. The program my students are in gives students with autism a chance to master pre-k standards and develop the learner behaviors that are challenging for them to learn, but that they need to succeed in school.

My students are extremely curious and very fast learners and they love puzzles, art, and books.

They love a challenge and always rise to meet it. We focus a lot of energy on language and communication skills so that my students can more easily share all of the amazing things they know and can do.

My Project

HEPA filters can remove particles in the air down to 3 microns. That includes virus and bacteria particles. These air filters will be able to filter all the air in the classroom about once every 45 minutes. They also include a UV light to help sterilize the air as well.

The cleaner the air in the class is, the safer it is for students.

Healthy students stay in school! I want to give our students every opportunity to stay in class and avoid getting sick. We are already wearing masks, washing hands and sanitizing surfaces. Now it’s time to make sure the air is as clean as it can be, and make our classroom even safer for all students snd staff!
