My Students

My classroom is a place of self discovery and engaging challenges. My students have a desire for learning. I try to incorporate hands-on instruction as often as I can. Our school is warm and inviting, and we care for each individual student in my classroom. I teach in a public elementary school and our school is located near an Air Force Base, so there is diversity in the classroom.

As a class, we form a community that is our classroom.

I enjoy teaching the students each day and creating a fun environment for my students! As a newer teacher, my aspirations for a classroom setup and tools are endless: it's just my budget that keeps me with a limitation!

My Project

We are doing rotations in science this year, and I have been teaching all of the 4th graders about observations in the night sky. I currently have some tennis balls and ping pong balls. The students have an investigation that they complete where they make something appear larger than it is using the three different size balls. It would be helpful if we had the inflatable beach balls.

We have two online programs, Lexia Core 5 and Utah Studies Weekly that requires the students to have headphones or earbuds.

My students need a set of earbuds that they can use in the classroom. We are mid-year in school, but soon we will be preparing for end-of-level testing. Students need earbuds for a listening portion during testing.
