This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help my class get off to a great start with supplies for all students. My 5th-grade students need a lot of supplies and materials to be successful. Unfortunately, not all can afford to start school with everything they need.

I love to give them a head start by having everything they need in class on the first day of school.

Knowing they have the supplies needed, gives them confidence and the ability to do their best.

5th-grade is an important year academically but I also feel it is very important to teach organization and responsibility. When every student starts the year with a set of supplies they learn to take care of them and appreciate them more. These are lessons that will last them well beyond 5th-grade.
