My Students

I work with an amazing group of kids who are hard-working and eager to learn in spite of the challenges they face. Our school is a highly impacted, Title I school with 85% of the population living below the poverty level. Over 50% of our students are English language learners. Every day, I am impressed with how much they accomplish. The students with who I work come from varying academic backgrounds. I want to provide every opportunity for them to accomplish their goals.

My Project

These supplies will help students combat the impacts of interrupted learning associated with COVID-19. Supplies include markers and whiteboards, art supplies, recess equipment, headphones, flashcards, and sanitizing supplies to keep our classroom safe and clean.

The instructional materials include earbuds to replace old and unusable headphones, pencils, multiplication flashcards to help students learn their multiplication facts, whiteboards with markers and erasers for whole group lessons, and watercolor paint sets for STEAM projects.

With social distancing, and working on adhering to safety guidelines, playground options have been limited. The recess equipment will give students a chance to practice teamwork and be active while still being safe.

The masks, sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes/spray will help facilitate a safe environment.
