Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am teaching mathematics to many at-risk students this school year. In this project, I have requested supplies in order to organize the materials needed for them to be successful in class and beyond high school. Some of my students need replacement binders because they already filled the one-inch binder that I have given them at the beginning of the year! I have also included classroom supplies they can use for assignments and projects. The bins requested will be used to organize the classroom and cabinets. The small baskets will be used to keep calculators on their desks and easily accessible.

As a teacher, I feel it is very important to have an organized classroom.

I value keeping my students organized and teaching them skills that will be beneficial after high school.

A few of my classes will be participating in a National Financial Literacy course/competition and we will use some of the supplies to keep them organized and hopefully successful in this endeavor.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
