My Students

The demographics of my school consist of 65% Black students, 30% Hispanic or Latino students, 2% White students, 11% English Language Learners, and 33% of students with special needs. Most students come from low-income households or live in foster homes and shelters. Many families are single-parent households and working families. We are a Title I school in Harlem. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. The students at my school are a mixture of different types of learners.

My students come from a diverse community.

I am a special education teacher for a bridged Kindergarten/1st grade class. My students are special students with different needs. My hope is to get all the materials that my students need to support their learning styles!!

My Project

My classroom is a brand new class that open up a month ago to alleviate overcrowding in another special education self-contained classroom. Since it is brand new, it doesn't have many supplies for my special needs students. They need individual classroom supplies, like their own pencils, crayons, notebook, dry erase marker, colored pencils, and their own pencil case to keep their supplies in, so that they could social distance from each other and be germ-free!! Also having cleaning supplies to keep our classroom clean are just as important!

Your donation will allow my students to have individual classroom supplies and homework bags to organize their materials and homework assignments.

In this way, they can be safe, organized, and learning at the same time!!
