My Project

I love watching my students read. It is magical when they realize they understand the text and the deeper meaning behind words. These classroom set of books will help my students learn and find more joy in reading.

Right now we don't have enough copies and either have to share, which makes learning harder.

Many of my students have learning or other disabilities; having a copy of the book will help them since they can follow lesson more easily.

My students are eager to read and these books will help them. We pair these classic novels with activities to make the books come to life and show their modern context. As a class we talk about the themes in the books such as team work, friendship, love, and how these classics show up in student's lives today.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
