My Students

I teach 2nd grade students with a variety of interests, abilities and goals. My students are enthusiastic children who come to school each day eager to learn. They love hands-on learning that allows them to be actively engaged in the content that is being taught.

Students in my classroom are creative, have a thirst for knowledge and enjoy learning in a variety of ways.

We use many different learning strategies to help each child reach his or her full potential every day.

My Project

My 2nd grade students spend a lot of their day at the carpet doing a variety of activities including whole group instruction, center work activities, games, etc.. We currently do not have a rug in our classroom so it is difficult for students to sit in an organized way. My students need an organized space of their own to sit comfortably, and a large classroom rug can provide just that! With a large rug, students can have an assigned space of their own to sit and participate in the many activities we do at the carpet and focus on their learning.
