Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in my classroom participate in a classroom economy system that helps to keep them engaged and eager to come to school and participate! Through this economy system students earn tickets that they collect throughout the month. Students can earn tickets by coming to school, participating in class, following our BEST rules, doing their homework, etc. At the end of the month students are able to purchase items from our class store.

Participating in our classroom economy system teaches students the importance of their roles as producers, consumers and savers in the classroom and out in the world.

Student are eager to earn their tickets and as a result work harder in the classroom. Adding these new and exciting rewards to our classroom store will continue to keep students eager to earn and save for items they are hoping to get.
