Classroom Needs Scissors, Paper Cutter, Shredder and a Recycling System

Help me give my students have a recycling sorting system, that would help us be responsible with our recyclables and waste. We also need paper cutter, shredder, and heavy duty scissors for science projects.

My Students

My classroom is full of eager and creative students, who receive core instruction in small group targeted sessions. My students attend a Title I school with a school-wide free lunch and breakfast program. Many come from neighborhoods and families with limited educational and technological resources. All of my students receive additional services and individualized educational programming to meet their educational needs based on unique learning challenges that have been identified.

We need a small cutting board and a paper shredder to keep student files and personal information protected, and we also need dedicated recycling bins for paper, plastic and regular trash to help us be responsible with our waste.

My Project

This year, we have worked on many projects where investigate our own contributions and impacts on our environment and are in need of some tools and project materials.

We need a set of decent scissors to be able to cut wide range of raw materials (cardboard, leather, thick paper, fabric etc) to be used for science projects.

We also need a safe and portable paper cutter, paper shredder and a recycling sorting system, that would help us keep our classroom tidy, functional and most importantly environmentally conscious. These materials will allow us have strong science investigations, and keep our classroom space organized.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
