Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are Dual language program kids in a low income school district. These kids love reading! I have 12 students in one class who are at or above grade level and it is only week 5 of our school year!

My students can not stop reading and will soon read through ALL of the books in the classroom library we already have!

I have them for the rest of this year and the next 2 years as well!

Please, help my student

My Project

My students are in a dual language program and as much as I love developing their Engish reading skills, I want them to love reading in any and all languages they are willing to read!

I want my students to be able to think and imagine in both English and Spanish, to experience the magic of reading in both languages!

Help my students develop their bilingual reading skills.

These books will do just that! They will allow them to get started by reading some of their favorite stories that they have read in English, now in Spanish. Then they will hopefully be interested in reading some books they've never read in English, in Spanish.
