My Project

My goal is to create a classroom where my students have the tools they need to learn, participate, and feel proud of their work. I teach high school math, and I want my classroom to be a space where students can be active learners instead of feeling like they are just sitting through another class.

These materials will help me make lessons more engaging, organized, and accessible for my students.

The whiteboards and chart paper will give students more opportunities to work through problems together and show their thinking. A color printer will help me create classroom resources, displays, activities, and materials that are easier to understand and more inviting. Stickers are a simple way to recognize effort and celebrate students, while the command strips and extension cords will help me organize our classroom and make the space work better for us. The MacBook will also give me a reliable tool for planning lessons, creating resources, and supporting instruction.

What makes my students special is that they all come into my classroom with different strengths, personalities, experiences, and levels of confidence in math. My goal is not only to help them become stronger math students, but to create an environment where they feel comfortable participating, making mistakes, learning from each other, and being proud of their progress.
