My Students

Hello and welcome! This is my very first year teaching and I am thrilled to be in 1st grade. I know that each of my students coming in next year will have different backgrounds, experiences and situations. I am so excited to meet each one of my students. 1st grade is such a fun year, where we work a lot on literacy. Kids come in reading on a very basic level and leave with great growth and success, some even reading full chapter books. I am eager and excited to help my future students learn about the world through amazing books.

My Project

These are all the different materials I need to help my students learn on a daily basis. We will use these materials throughout the day either in whole group, partnerships or individually. Students will use whiteboards and the clear sheets to help learn literacy and math skills. These materials also will help maintain my classroom management to give students fun "class pets" when they are doing their best. Lastly, the masking tape will be used to organize the classroom based on the student's assigned color. Each of these materials will be used every and will make the biggest difference in our classroom!
