My Project

Circle times are an important part of classroom instruction. I use this time and space for class meetings, to discuss writing, read stories, learn new math games, and for a space for students to work.

Our classroom needs a circular carpet for students to sit on when we come together as a group.

In past years students have been sitting on velcro dots.

A circular carpet is important in my classroom for students to have a space to sit and a space in the middle for teacher instruction. Students also have room for their bodies to stretch out or sit up. A carpet is a destination spot for students, it makes the classroom feel more cozy and serves as a defined space for them to sit.
