My Students

These woodshop students are eager to learn and ready to work. Every day before the class period begins many students come in early, grab the project that they are working on and the tool that they need, and begin working. These students are academically diverse, in that they all have different learning needs.

Woodshop class is the one class where kids are on an academic leveled playing field.

All students have the ability to succeed despite their academic levels. Grit, patience, work ethic, and drive are skills that allow students to shine.

My Project

My woodshop class is filled with students that come to school each day excited to start on a new project that encourages them to tap into a new level of creativity while using a newly learned skill.

With the help of your donations, I can introduce my woodshop students to new mediums that give them more control and freedom to produce their ideal product.

The woodworking vices and wood-carving sets will be used together to create woodcarving mosaics. The drum sander will have many uses in the shop, among them is making engrain cutting boards. These durable cutting boards will be a keepsake for the students and their families, reminding them of the good times made around wood making. I am also asking for a set of angle clamps to help students make picture frames for the photography class.
