Students will understand the importance of clamping projects while the glue dries. The bond between two pieces of wood when using wood glue can be stronger than the wood itself. Students will be able to build using just glue. Students will learn that pipe clamps are extremely useful in the woodworking environment because they are strong and easy to use. Pipe clamps will make building furniture and boxes much easier because the clamps will hold the project still while the glue dries or until the student can drive a screw to hold the pieces together.
