I teach at a wonderful school in a small, rural community. Most of my students are from low-income homes. Therefore, technology for education is not something that is readily available to many of my students outside of school. I have a fun group of children who enjoy learning and working together.
They love using technology in the classroom and are enthusiastic about every opportunity to use Chromebooks in their projects.
I know that it is vital to prepare students for the future, and I believe that incorporating technology into the curriculum is one of the best ways to do this. Chromebooks in the classroom will allow my students to become proficient in the use of technology and allow them easy access to educational tools and programs that will help them become successful, life-long learners.
My Project
My students are more enthusiastic about what they are learning when they have the opportunity to use technology. We rely heavily on Chromebooks in our classroom. Our school subscribes to several great educational websites, and many of our classroom materials are available for students to use online.
The use of Chromebooks in the classroom is a great way to reach learners and to prepare them for a technology-rich future.
Chromebooks are also nice because they allow us to easily access Google Classroom, which is a useful tool for encouraging students in their writing. The Chromebooks that we currently have are quickly wearing out and becoming outdated. Many of our devices are no longer reliable. This can be very frustrating for students who are working on their Chromebooks to complete assignments. A donation of Chromebooks would help students retain their enthusiasm for educational technology and help to prepare them for a successful future.
